Aged Care Regional, Rural and Remote Infrastructure Grant
The results of the Aged Care Regional, Rural and Remote Infrastructure Grant (ACRRRIG) has recently been released.
The grant opportunity was part of the 2018-19 Budget measure, to provide funding for regional, rural and remote aged care providers to upgrade old or unsuitable infrastructure, improve or upgrade existing buildings.
Many facilities in North Queensland has received funding including:
- Murroona Gardens Hostel, Bowen
- The Bur-Del Co-Operative, Ayr
- RSL Care Cunningham, Bowen
- Canossa Home, Ingham
- Ravenshoe Rural and Remote Aged Care
- Mareeba Aged Care
- Dalrymple Villa Inc
- Tully Nursing Home Inc
Bringing forward of priority funding of $40 million (GST exclusive) to support aged care providers in urgent need of capital works in North Queensland, rural and regional areas, was great news.

Funding will be available over two years commencing in the 2018/19 financial year, with each recipient receiving funding up to a maximum amount of $500,000 (GST exclusive) per aged care service.
