LNP Senate Team on the road again in SE Queensland

The LNP Senate Team is back on the road in south-east Queensland from Sunday, meeting with residents, civic leaders and business people to hear their concerns and their aspirations for the future.

The visit to Bundaberg and Hervey Bay at the beginning of the tour will be hosted by LNP candidate for Hinkler, Keith Pitt.

Mr Pitt said he was delighted to see the Senate team back in Hinkler for the second time in the campaign.

Senator Ian Macdonald, Opposition Spokesman on Northern Australia, who leads the team, said that the purpose of the trip, was to introduce Senate team members James McGrath, Matt Canavan and Theresa Craig - and to give people in the region a chance to have their views and ideas heard.

We have been campaigning hard around the state, said James McGrath, number two on the ticket and best known for managing the successful election campaign for Campbell Newman.

It is extremely important in this election to encourage people to realise how vital their Senate vote is in getting the country back on its economic feet.

Matt Canavan, number three on the ticket, and an economist, agreed.

If the Coalition wins government on September 7, the Senate must be able to support the Government to get the country back on track to prosperity, he said.

We must take control of the Senate from the toxic Labor/Greens alliance

Candidate Theresa Craig said that there was no room for voting differently on the two ballot papers, for the House of Representatives and the Senate, in this election.

This election is too important. The country and the economy are in a terrible mess, its hurting families, businesses, farmers, everybody. We must give Tony Abbott the tools to fix it.

The team will attend the Hervey Bay Seafood Festival in Fishermans Park, Urangan Boat Harbour on Sunday and on Monday will open candidate for Hinkler, Keith Pitts campaign office in Torquay Street opposite the RSL at 10 am.

We are delighted to be helping Keith Pitt with the launch of his campaign, Senator Macdonald said.

He is an excellent candidate who will do a very good job for the people of Hinkler.
