LNP campaign cavalcade moves on to Boulia

The LNP campaign cavalcade promoting Kennedy candidate Noeline Ikin and the Senate team led by Senator Ian Macdonald moves on to Boulia tomorrow.

Kennedy candidate Noeline Ikin said that although Boulia was only a small place with only 132 voters enrolled at the last election it was still important to her.

I need to know and understand life and challenges in every community, big and small, Ms Ikin said.

Ms Ikin, Senator Macdonald and Senate candidates Matt Canavan and Theresa Craig have been in Mount Isa and Cloncurry all this week and will take part in the rodeo parade in Mount Isa on Friday night.

Ms Ikin said that her intensive campaigning in Mount Isa had clearly demonstrated the need for a Federal MP who had a voice in government.

Senator Macdonald said that while Mr Katter was seen as a bit of a novelty, Mount Isa needed more than someone dancing on the sidelines.

Mr Katters flirtation with the union movement yesterday and his commitment to Kevin Rudd means that he is supporting a Labor/Greens alliance which has only delivered dysfunctional government to Australia over the last six years.
