North Queensland based Senator Ian Macdonald has welcomed the Government's announcement of $209 million in funding for Trades Skills Centres.
"The Coalition's commitment to vocational training and the creation of employment opportunities is clearly on display" said Senator Macdonald.
"And I am absolutely delighted that $3 million of this funding will be spent in Kennedy."
"The Hinchinbrook Trade Skills Centre at Ingham State High will receive $1.5 million, and the Innisfail Health Trade Skills Centre and Innisfail State College will also receive $1.5 million."
Senator Macdonald said that young people from across the electorate of Kennedy will benefit from the opportunities being created by the Federal Government.
